Scott Leysath, is the host of “The Sporting Chef” show on Sportsman Channel. As someone whose passion and profession are one in the same, Chef Leysath is undoubtedly among the best in the business. He’s a “regular” guy, not a classically trained chef, who sincerely wants anything with fur, fins and feathers taste as good as it gets.
He has been the Cooking Editor for the Ducks Unlimited Magazine since 2007 and has contributed to several other outdoor publications for over 20 years. He lives in Northern California with his wife, son and two setters.
Scott Leysath has developed a cult-like following over three decades of recipe development, public appearances, cooking columns, cookbooks and television hosting. He started his TV career on HGTV in the late 90’s and his credits include hosting two generations of “The Sporting Chef” show, “HuntFishCook” and “Dead Meat”. If you are not part of the world of outdoor enthusiasts, he might possibly be the best chef you’ve never heard of. To those who hunt and fish, he’s “The Sporting Chef.”
